A beautifully characterful antique writing bureau, hand painted by me in Onyx by Alchemy Fusion.
This lovely little bureau is full of those details that make an old piece of furniture so special. The dark, almost charcoal-black finish really shows off the original wooden interior, scalloped detailing and gorgeous brass handles.
Open it up and you have a useful writing surface, with little pigeonholes and a small drawer for keeping stationery, letters and all those bits and pieces that otherwise seem to wander around the house!
I’ve kept some of the original character and wood showing inside, rather than completely covering everything up, so it still feels like an old piece of furniture with a story to tell.
It would make a beautiful little home office space, somewhere to sit and write, or simply a fabulous statement piece in a bedroom, hallway or living room.
